Undergraduate Study
We offer a challenging undergraduate program that prepares graduates for present and future demands and challenges of the software industry.

Are you a prospective student? We invite you to browse through our website to learn about our program and facilities. We welcome site visits to our department and can easily arrange a meeting with one of our faculty members. In our Prospective Student page, you will find useful information that will help you decide on which of RIT's computing programs is right for you.

We are an ABET accredited program. Our educational objectives and program outcomes reflect the academic requirements outlined by ABET. The department offers the Bachelor of Science and the Master of Science degrees in software engineering. Information on the Master of Science degree can be found here.

The undergraduate degree consists of both core and elective courses that focus on the Software Engineering lifecycle. In addition, each student must select an application domain and complete a senior project.

Students can access various departmental documents and forms online. The student handbook and co-op forms are examples of the types of information available online.

Browse the Student FAQ for any questions that you may have. If you don't find an answer, then ask the office staff.

Need help with a class or want to enhance your skills? Participate in any of the mentoring and tutoring services available on campus. Schedules are updated quarterly.
