Research Interests:

Entertainment, Multimedia and Imaging applications; remote monitoring and digital image capture and development of Internet software tools to support environmental education and stewardship.

Bio:

Mr. Martinez graduated with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University in 1993. In 1995 he earned an M.S. in Computer and Systems Engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. He joined RIT's Software Engineering Department in 2007 following over 12 years of combined software development experience at General Electric, IBM and Kodak.

In 1995 he joined Eastman Kodak Company. While at Kodak, he held a number of roles including image scientist at the Image Science Division of Research; software engineer for the commercialization of online services such as the Kodak Picture Network; and software technical lead and liaison for the Chief Marketing Office under Kodak.com.

Mr. Martinez was the founder and creator of the Kodak Peregrine Falcon Birdcam (now www.rfalconcam.com - Rochester Falconcam) which counts with over 12,000 registered falcon fans and has attracted enthusiasts from over 100 countries. He is a software consultant, nature photographer and avid birdwatcher.
