Team Astropolis

Astropolis is a Windows game application to be targeted specifically towards autistic children. Astropolis is a 3d space colony simulator, where users will be tasked with creating and managing a fully functional space colony. They will have tasks such as building structures, managing resources, and researching new technologies. The user will also be able to play in many different mini-games, which will be designed to evaluate and possibly treat autistic patients. These mini-games vary from space shooters to a stealth action game. Playing these mini-games will aid you're colony in certain ways, such as providing extra resources. Because of the nature of autistic children, these mini-games will be event driven, attempting to give as much control to the user as possible. These events are logged in the database so that researchers can view the data in relation to autism.
