Experience
Proteus Technologies
Currently employed at Proteus after graduating from RIT in May, I develop communcation software using Java EE and many other technologies. I work in a small, Agile team in order to deliver rapid prototypes that support Proteus in research and development.
Technologies that I use regularly are rather numerous and varied. But on a daily basis I am required to know and use: Jave EE, Spring 3.0.x, OSGi 4.0, Apache Karaf, log4j, SVN, and Eclipse.
Digital Receiver Technology
I worked at DRT, a Boeing company, in Germantown, MD for a summer co-op block. The software GUI team, of which I was apart, was med-sized and worked closely with the embedded team of engineers that sustained DRT's product line.
My responsibilities were to incorporate new features into the Windows application. It involved learning a few new technologies and adhereing to DRT's existing coding standard.
Harris RF Communications
I was employed at Harris RF Communications on a 3-block(9 month) cooperative learning experience. I was put in the Sensors group under the RFC division. The department was comprised of two(2) firmware developers, one(1) hardware engineer, and three(3) Windows developers, including me, working on Windows software development.
My responsibilities were to maintain the Mission Planning Application(MPA) and help maintain the Sensor Management Application (SMA). While I was given various tasks throughout my time at Harris, I eventually settled into lead developer for the MPA. The MPA was developed in C++ with MFC. We also used the CodeJock framework to enhance certain GUI elements of the system.
