TourTrak: Crowd-Sourced Traffic Flow Analysis

Bike New York is a non-profit organization that promotes bicycling and holds the "The Great Five Boro Bike Tour" in New York City. Each year, around 32,000 riders participate in the race. The large number of participants creates congestion and bottlenecks along the route of the race, taking away from the experience.

Using location data from Android powered devices, Bike New York would like to analyze traffic during the race to identify potential bottlenecks and other race traffic related issues. The solution will allow for immediate action to be taken to reduce congestion as well as provide analysis for the planning of future races.
