Welcome to the Kodak Image Splitting 2008-2009 Senior Project website. We are team Image-Splitters.

The primary objective for this project will be to develop an algorithm that can be used in a Kodak Picture Kiosk that will take a source image and split it into 2 or more image panes horizontally or vertically.

The secondary objective for this project will be to develop an new look and feel for the Kodak Kiosks. Kodak is currently in a place where they would like to upgrade the User Interface of their Kiosks. As the overall population of Kiosk users has grown, so has their computer literacy and their expectations. It is our task to develop a more 3D, realistic feel to picture editing while developing an algorithm to split pictures artistically.

This project is currently being developed using the Spiral Development Model. With this model, we plan to develop several prototype releases for better feedback and it allows us time to constantly update our design and development documentation.
