You will need to setup YouTube events for the interim and final presentations. Use the following instructions to setup one event for each day of presentations.

1. Login to YouTube. If you do not come into the RIT Software Engineering organization, click on your icon in the top right corner of the page to bring up the account menu. Select Switch account and select the RIT Software Engineering account.
2. From the account menu, select YouTube Studio (beta).
3. Expand the leftside toolbar to select Other features. Or Other features is the last tool button in the upper group in the leftside toolbar. Then select Live streaming.

   YouTube Studio does not have all of the features built out yet. You will be taken to YouTube Creator Studio Classic for the Events menu. When the events feature gets built out, these instructions will probably need to be updated.

4. In the leftside menu, select Events.
5. To create each event, follow these steps:
   1. Click the New live event button in the upper right of the page.
   2. On the Basic info tab, enter the title, date, start and stop times, and description. Enter tags such as RIT, Software Engineering, Software Engineering education, RIT SE, ... The default should be a Public stream. Make sure that is how it will be created.
   3. On the Advanced settings tab, other than the defaults set:
      • Caption certification - "This content has never aired on television in the United States".
      • Promote on my channel page - "2 days before the scheduled start time".
      • Category: Education
      • Video location: Rochester, NY
      • Video language: English
      • Recording date: whatever is appropriate for this event
      • Video statistics: checked
      • Recording
        • Allow comments: checked
        • Show: All except potentially inappropriate comments
        • Sort by: Top comments
      • Stream optimizations: Normal latency
   4. Click Create event or Save changes.
   5. You will be taken to the Ingestion Settings area.
   6. Set the thumbnail image by browsing to the schedule title slide for the day's presentation.
   7. Use a Reusable stream key and pick RIT SE Senior Project Presentations (720p)
   8. Click Save changes in the upper right of the page.
   9. Mouse over the View on Watch Page button in the upper right of the page and note the YouTube video id. This will be the single parameter in the videoCell JavaScript call on the Presentations page that embeds the stream on the page.
6. The Stream Name and server information should not change from event to event and already be in the vMix software. Check to ensure that is true.
