Senior Project Teleconference Information

If your sponsor is remote from Rochester, you will not have regular face-to-face meetings. Here is useful information for the teleconferences that you will need to have:

  1. There are three rooms that may be reserved for project phone calls:
    1. Team Room 70-1561 (6 max) : 585-475-7758
    2. Team Room 70-1560 (6 max) : 585-475-7756
    3. SE Conference Room (12 max) : 585-475-6807

The SE Conference Room is only available for senior project meetings requiring a conference call. If the number of meeting participants requires the use of the conference room, have your faculty coach make the reservation.

  2. If your project sponsor is not in the Rochester area, reserve one of these rooms and phones for the time of your regular meeting each week. Sarah will keep the reservations. To keep things simple, you should hold your meetings at the same day/time each week throughout the term.

  3. You can also reserve a room, if a local project sponsor is out of town at the time of your regular meeting, and you want to still meet that week.

  4. We have two team rooms setup with wide-angle webcans for net conferencing with Skype, Google Hangouts, or another mechansim. If your faculty coach makes prior arrangements with On-Line Learning, you can use RIT's Adobe Connect server which will allow desktop sharing.

For each of your meetings:

  1. Check out a speakerphone or, if using one of the two teleconference teamrooms, a USB speaker/microphone. You will check these out from the on-duty labbie.
  2. For telephone conferences, have your sponsor call you. You will not be able to dial out from the above extensions.
  3. At the conclusion of the call, return any checked out equipment to the labbie.
