What is Beep.Brake?

Thirty-Three thousand lives are lost each year due to motor vehicle accidents. These preventable events are caused by the enumerable distractions on the road. And unfortunately the victims not only suffer physically but fiscally due to their inflated insurance premiums and repair costs. To alleviate this concern, we present Beep.Brake.

Beep.Brake is an Android app that provides an extra set of eyes whilst on the road. Using a rear view mirror mounted phone, Beep.Brake will analyze the forward field of view to anticipate imminent forward car collisions and warn the driver. Beep.Brake tackles many of the issues the few current market solutions pose; low availability, high cost, and specific hardware requirements. Running on any Android device, the app focuses on high performance for readily available low-cost phones.
