Enrollment Week

As you will see in your college careers, it is imperative that you register for the proper courses. This is crucial for ensuring that you are not only on track to graduate on time, but also to ensure that you have the appropriate and your desired software engineering skillset. Fortunately, the SE department has dedicated advisors to guide you through this process. In this session, you will have the opportunity to gain additional information about enrolling for the spring semester. If time allows, you will then be provided team time to work on your final project In class we will:.

  1. Listen to the enrollment session information from your SE advisors. You will have time to ask questions about enrollment.
  2. Your team will then be provided team time to work on your project submission. Please reach out to your instructor/TAs with any questions that you have.

Final Presentation Information

At the conclusion of the semester, your team will be tasked with creating a final presentation of your work. The following is a brief overview of what you should prepare to create. You should now acclimate your team with the expectations for the final presentation.

Plan, prepare, and rehearse the presentation

Every team should create a shared presentation file, and all members should collaborate on creating the slides. Here is a template to start with. Explain the steps you took to develop this system from inception to programmed prototype. Discuss your team communications and how you managed the project. Some things that you should include in your presentation include: You should discuss/present upon the following items (but feel free to add to this list):
  • What you learned?
  • What were some of the encountered challenges?
  • What advice/recommendations would you give to teams starting a similar project?
  • What challenges would your team likely encounter in the real-world when performing this project?
