PaeTec E911 System

The senior project for PaeTec Corporation entails rewriting their existing E911 provisioning system. A new web-based user interface will be created using JSP Pages and shall support searching functionality and the entry of new/changed customer information. Problems elicited from use of the current system will be addressed in the new user interface and the new UI will more effectively match the customer's needs. Enterprise Java Beans (EJB's) will be created for accessing PaeTec's local database. The data model shall also be improved by removing unnecessary data and more accurately modeling the real world information. In addition, existing C++ code for outputting flat data files of E911 information to incumbent local exchange carriers will be rewritten in Java. The main deliverable will be a multi-faceted Java software solution running on Microsoft Windows NT based system.
