- You will be broken into rooms for any group discussions.
Class Plan:
- Introduction to the seminar (syllabus)
- Student Introductions
- Student SE Account Distribution - Have students log into their accounts and access mycourses.
- Finalize any remaining SE Dept. administrative tasks. Instructor will have prior instruction as to any needed tasks or suggestions.
- SE Department webpage (info, announcements, events, facilities, etc.)
- Departmental Resources (general lab, team rooms, mentoring lab) & People to know (Sys Admin, labbies, Advisors, etc.)
- Student access to download software from Microsoft and IBM (go to Department Website -> Resources (Tab) -> Software Vendor Alliances.
- Many other student resources

- Assignment 1 (see below). Time permitting: Begin assignment in groups and conduct foundational presentation (select groups only).

Assignment
Spend some time thinking about (and researching) what software engineering is and how it is reflected in our world. Compile these thoughts and information into a PDF document with urls, text, etc. (1 to 2 pages).
Submission Instructions
